MA Criminology & Criminal Justice Alumni Reunion

Dear King’s College MA Criminology & Criminal Justice Alumni,

The Criminology Society is pleased to announce the inauguration of its 2007/2008 Committee.

The Committee comprises the following members:
President - Joe Mazzo (U.S.A.)
Vice-President - Swati Mehta (India)
Treasurer - Patrick Murphy (U.K.)
Secretary - Paul Watkins (U.K.)
Event Co-ordinators - Micayla Greschner (Canada) and David Stead (U.K.)
Alumni Relations Officer - Yvonne Smeets (The Netherlands)

It is the aim of the Committee to provide meaningful and regular formal and informal events that will facilitate ongoing contact between current and past students.

One of the key visions of the Criminology Society Committee is to provide a professional forum for postgraduate students - past and present - and lecturers to integrate their collective understandings and experiences, to share research and knowledge, and to provide networking opportunities.

To launch the newly inaugurated Criminology Society Committee, the Committee members would like to invite all MA Criminology & Criminal Justice alumni to The Knights Templar Bar, 95 Chancery Lane on Thursday December 6th from 8 p.m. This will provide an opportunity to introduce the Committee and for you to share ideas and suggestions with us as to how best the Committee can add value to all alumni.

Due to privacy legislation the Criminology Society does not have access to e-mail addresses of MA Criminology & Criminal Justice alumni. Therefore, this e-mail has been sent to you indirectly by Prof. Dr. Ben Bowling. If you would like to sign up to the Criminology Society’s alumni mailing list, please contact our Alumni Relations Officer Yvonne Smeets.

Please note that in order to become a registered alumni member of the Criminology Society, you are required to join the Associate Members of KCLSU first. This costs £15 a year, or £150 for life. Associate Membership forms are available online at the following web page and from the Student Centres. Once you have an Associate Membership card, you can then pay to join the Criminology Society as a KCL MA Criminology & Criminal Justice alumni. The annual fee to join the Criminology Society for alumni is £10 and can be paid directly to our Treasurer Patrick Murphy on Thursday 6 December.

Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to meeting you.

On behalf of the Criminology Society Committee.

Kind regards,

Yvonne Smeets
Alumni Relations Officer
